Voters formed the Marin Healthcare District in 1948. It encompasses all of Marin except Novato.

Who Manages the Affairs of the District?

The Marin Healthcare District Board hired Lee Domnico to be its Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for transitioning MGH back from Sutter control. As of June 2010 also serves as the CEO of Marin General Hospital.

Mr. Domanico's compensation package is in excess of $800,000.
